Maplewood

Welcome to Maplewood NJ, a family-friendly community of nearly 24,000 residents. Education plays a key role in Maplewood with six elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. Residents enjoy this diverse neighborhood with close shopping and very active sports programs. In 2009, Maplewood was rated one of the Best Places to Live by CNNMoney.com, and is chosen as the #1 destination in New Jersey for Brooklyn families looking to recreate much of what they are leaving behind. It’s the type of atmosphere for a a pastry chef who is married to the associate director of Blue Man Group, and everyone is a New Yorker, or from Brooklyn, so it feels very familiar.

Any holiday in Maplewood is a reason to celebrate with hayrides and petting zoos from Halloween through Christmas. We have 4 pools ranging from a baby/toddler pool to a large lap pool and a diving tank. Not to be forgotten are the many musical events that take place throughout the summer. Needless to say, we have the talent! Maplewoodstock is a 2 day arts and music event, and is one of the many planned events during the summer. Applications are NOW OPEN for the town pool!

Maplewood and South Orange are two towns, one community. Thirty minutes to NYC by train, and yet this area is filled with its own arts and culture.
